In 1975 my father, Jesse Riddle, was the first in our family to graduate from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the world's largest and most respected non-profit institute of gemological research and learning. Today, four of us with the combined experience of 85 years are actively involved in the purchasing of our diamonds primarily from Belgium, Russia, and New York. In our diamond lab, we personally grade and laser inscribe each loose diamond, using our own identification system, and then certify it, maintaining the same level of standards followed by the GIA. Our name and reputation are at stake each time we sign a Riddle's diamond certificate. Unlike most diamond labs, we present our customers with the opportunity to get to know us and observe our diamond grading. It is a priority for us to make our customers feel confident and comfortable when purchasing a Riddle's diamond.
Our diamond lab hosts the latest in technology including our laser identification and a proportion analyzer that measures the cut and grade of the diamond. Most jewelry stores send out their loose diamonds to be laser inscribed and certified and usually charge for this service. Our service is free of charge. When diamonds are mounted into one of our beautiful settings, customers receive the benefit of our lifetime guarantee. We are fully aware of where our diamonds come from and are confident that they have not been enhanced in any way. This is very important because today there are many diamonds out there that have been fractured filled, laser drilled, or created in a laboratory (synthetic). Unfortunately, this information is not always disclosed to the customer. My father was one of the first to offer diamond guarantees in the sixties - other stores didn't think it was the right thing to do. Now all major stores have some sort of guarantee. He wanted people to know that we stand behind what we sell, and 54 years later we continue with that promise. |
